This policy explains how [Legal entity name] (trading as Circuit Glass, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit this website, buy from us or contact us. We are the controller of that information.
[Registered address]Questions about this policy, or about your information: [Privacy email].
We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need: our website hosting, payment, delivery, email and customer-service providers, and professional advisers. Each is bound to protect it and to use it only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our business or others from fraud or harm.
Some of our providers process information outside the UK. When they do, we make sure it is protected by an adequacy decision or by standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose.
Order and accounting records are kept for as long as tax law requires (currently six years). Account information is kept while your account is open. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Customer-service messages are kept for up to two years after the conversation ends. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email [Privacy email]; we reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
The site is served over an encrypted connection, payments are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant provider, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your account password to yourself.
Our products are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and we close any account we find to belong to someone under 18.
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed; significant changes are also announced on the site.
